Our services

Seven services, one crew, and the same standard applied to all of them: a proper site visit, a fixed written quote, and a job finished the way we'd want it done in our own home. Each service below has its own page covering how we work, what's included, and typical timings — click through for the full detail, or get in touch for a free quote on any of them.

Interior painting

Walls, ceilings and woodwork finished in a clean, considered palette. Every interior job starts with proper preparation — filling, sanding and priming — because a coat of paint only lasts as long as what's underneath it holds. We recommend the right finish for each room: wipeable emulsion for kitchens and bathrooms, tougher scuff-resistant paint for hallways and stairs, and softer matt finishes for bedrooms and living rooms. Work is scheduled room by room in occupied homes, with dust sheets, protection and a proper clean-up at the end of every day. Read more about interior painting »

Exterior painting

Render, pebbledash, masonry, timber and pipework, protected against everything the North East throws at a building's face. We assess exposure and substrate before recommending a paint system — coastal properties in Tynemouth and Whitley Bay need different treatment to farmhouses further into Northumberland — and exterior work is scheduled around a dry, mild spell rather than a fixed date on a calendar, since masonry paint applied in the wrong conditions fails within a year. Wallpapering

Pattern-matched hanging, from a single feature wall to a full run of rooms — including the long, awkward drops of a stairwell that most people quietly dread. We plan the pattern across the whole room before the first cut, strip old paper back fully rather than papering over it, and work with paste-the-wall vinyls, traditional papers, textured finishes and feature panels alike. Commercial decorating

Offices, shops, communal areas and let properties, decorated around your operating hours rather than ours — early mornings, evenings or weekends where that suits the business better. We provide risk assessments and method statements where a managing agent requires them, and specify durable, easily-cleaned finishes for high-traffic commercial spaces. Plastering & rendering repairs

Cracks, damp patches, blown plaster and tired render, made good before a single coat of paint goes anywhere near them. We look at the cause before quoting the fix — settlement, damp or age — and match repair materials to older lime plaster and breathable renders rather than defaulting to whatever's quickest, so the patch doesn't fail again within a year. Woodwork & staining

Skirting, doors, staircases and furniture, stripped, stained or painted to match — the detail work that either makes a room or quietly lets it down. We treat woodwork as its own trade within a job, with painted and stained finishes matched carefully to whatever's already on site, and appropriate care taken with older paintwork that may contain lead. Colour consultation

An on-site consultation to get the palette right before we open a tin, because a colour swatch under shop lighting rarely matches how that colour will read across a whole wall in your own home. We visit at a time of day that matters, bring large sample boards, and advise on finish as much as hue. Read more about colour consultation »
